FS error on install

Hey guys ,

 

I just tried reinstalling the FS2004 but got the following error message during install. "Microsoft Flight Simulator encountered a disk error while writing to the file c:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftGames\FlightSimulator9\Scenery\World.cab. Make sure your hard disk is not full and that the file is not in use"

 

I have uninstalled the previous version so the file world.cab does not exist on my PC at all. I also have plenty of disk space left as well (60GB)

Any help on this is truly appreciated.
