Japanese FIR regions

In Vat-spy (or ServInfo), Japan is shown to be covered by a single region, RJTG. When other CTR positions are online, such as RJCG, these programs show them as covering the entire RJTG region, even though they don't.

 

Is there somewhere I can see the real regions for Japan? Better still, could someone submit an update to the creator of Vat-spy so he can fix it?

In fact, the software such as ServInfo have wrong information about FIR. VATJPN website have the FIR information. Please check the page!

Hi,

 

Has anyone got/posted the correct data for Servinfo.dat so the Japan FIRs show correctly rather than just RJTJ as Sven said above?

 

I believe its a matter of having the correct coordinates (LAT/LON) for each of the FIR boundaries but the link above doesn't show these. If someone knows them I will have a go at doing this.

Hi Roger

 

There were Tokyo FIR(RJTG) and Naha FIR(RORG) in Japan until some years ago. However, it was unified. There is single FIR in Japan. It is Fukuoka FIR(RJJJ).

 

Fukuoka FIR(RJJJ) consists of Sapporo ACC and Tokyo ACC and Fukuoka ACC and Naha ACC and Tokyo ATMC(Oceanic).

 

Therefore the item which we should delete an FIR boundary betweem RORG FIR and RJTG FIR., and it should be indicated in RJJJ(Fukuoka)....

Thanks for that Keisuke, perhaps me saying FIRs was misleading.

 

On the Fukuoka FIR map here the controllers areas are shown and if only RJDG_CTR is online the whole of RJTG is shown to be covered in Servinfo so I'm not sure if they need to be contacted if for instance I flew from RJTT RJCC

 

I guess I should have said the ACCs so that when just one controller in online only their area is highlighted rather than the whole of the FIR.

Thanks again Keisuke, although I get my charts from the Japan AIS I never thought of looking there for the ACC boundary coordinates.

 

I'll make a start on configuring these for Severinfo but cannot say how long it will take.
