I am a controller at ZMA currently holding an I1 rating. I have controlled at KMIA for a long time.

During the event we had on the 7th of June, we had two of your members doing VFR flights. It seems to me that they were more trying to look smart, than enjoying a VFR flight in Miami Bravo airspace.

It is normal at every event to have people trying to disrupt the IFR traffic flying VFR very marginal to the boundaries.

Everything boiled down to one of your members telling me to refer to my VFR charts, and that they were CFI´s, and I should learn from them.

This is not a tug of war, but all about having empathy for the other pilots inbound on IFR traffic, most of them trying to win a prize and enjoy the ATC.

It came as a surprise for me that both are controllers at ZMA, one holding and I1. I would have never thought that I1 would provoke of situation like this. Even worst, insulting a fellow controller that has the same rating.

It even called my attention that ZTL was not staffed, with so much DVA pilots flying out from ZTL to ZMA, but instead having two fellow controllers insulting another one about my knowledge of my airspace.

All I wanted to communicate to them was to maintain 2500 feet or bellow at current position, which was inbound traffic space. They could have contacted me, but bullied themselves in the airspace and decided for their selves what was right and wrong.
