Nicholas Fredrich 827138 Posted May 13, 2005 at 12:16 AM Posted May 13, 2005 at 12:16 AM Mark and the Chicago Team- I would like to take this opportunity to express publicly my sincere apology to Mark Zameda for my comments and actions regarding his selection as the chief of Chicago. Some of the things I said were totally uncalled for immature and ill-advised. I have spoken to Mark on the phone privately and felt that he deserved a public apology. I would like to extend this apology to the 3 or 4 individuals who left Chicago in the 3 years that I was there who felt "bullied" granted I had a strong vision that everyone should conform to policy and the way I went about it was probably not the best course of action. I would like to take all these incidents that happened and put them behind me so I can look to the future, after all this is a hobby and we are here to have fun. I would like to thank those who accepted me into Chicago and hope that I see you guys again soon. Presently I am no longer welcome in Chicago, which is perfectly fine and well deserved, after all what goes around comes around. Congrats to Mark on his appointment as Chief, good luck in the future and I'll see you in the skies. Nick
Kiel McGowan 813486 Posted May 13, 2005 at 08:27 AM Posted May 13, 2005 at 08:27 AM A noble act to apologize, I was not going to say anything on the Chicago matter but, the only thing I was going to say was if everyone who was "supposted" to be picked raised this big of a stink, I don't think they should have been picked. I hope to see the Chicago ARTCC raise to new heights and realize the potential that ARTCC holds. Chicago easily has tons of traffic with no controllers, I cannot imagine what would happen with full staffing on a regular basis. Im looking foward to seeing Chicago on more often. Terry Kocher 919807 Posted June 16, 2005 at 12:51 PM Posted June 16, 2005 at 12:51 PM Thats affirmative on what Kiel just said, I fly ORD-ATL, ATL-ORD almost everyday and only about a 3rd of the time it (ORD) is controlled. I am glad to see that actions are being taken within KZAU and I hope that the next time that I fly in there it will be fully-staffed. Also, even though I have no insight into the "bullying" matter, I will just say one thing, it is a great act of maturity and downright kindness to apologize...remember, "To say your sorry wont change the past, but it sure as hell will widen the future." Hope to be talking to you on the radio's soon, Terry Kocher
