Scott Clifford Posted December 5, 2004 at 06:49 PM Posted December 5, 2004 at 06:49 PM Despite no problems with FS9/SB on VATSIM since FS9 was released, recently, the SB/MP connection closes after 2 mins on the servers. I am using WinXP Home (and I disabled firewall with no effect). I have since re-installed SB with no success. Otherwise I have made no changes to my system. Does anyone have any (and I mean any) explanations or possible causes of this unfortunate anomaly? I'd like to get back to online flying. Thanks. Dieter Brugger 810604 Posted December 6, 2004 at 07:24 AM Posted December 6, 2004 at 07:24 AM Scott, in similar cases the following helped: In FS -> MP Settings -> Change the Client Port from 23456 to something other like 23457. If this doesn´t work you can always roll back to 23456. Dieter Brugger VATSIM Supervisor http://www.vacc.ch

Fei Han 869342 Posted December 10, 2004 at 04:23 AM Posted December 10, 2004 at 04:23 AM There's one way to solve it! Have a look at here http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay/help.html "Disable all network cards before connecting SB and FS2004 to SBRelay, then re-enable it afterward. This can sometimes solve a problem with SB disconnecting from SBRelay after 2 minutes." I t means you shall just re-enable your internet connection before you're ready to click "Connect" on Squawkbox...
