Rodrigo Bastos 956101 Posted June 26, 2008 at 05:50 PM Posted June 26, 2008 at 05:50 PM Hello guys, I have a problem with the HP configuration. Take a look: The Oscar HP, taxiway and the RWY 10 look like this on the .apt file: [HOLD OHP] -22.80183 -43.25527 [TAXIWAY O] -22.80588 -43.25460 -22.80542 -43.25536 -22.80517 -43.25582 -22.80452 -43.25629 -22.80374 -43.25667 -22.80268 -43.25589 -22.80233 -43.25559 -22.80183 -43.25527 [RUNWAY 10/28] displaced threshold=0/0 turnoff=left -22.80160 -43.25528 -22.80155 -43.25536 -22.79883 -43.24342 -22.79784 -43.23922 -22.79591 -43.23077 -22.79294 -43.21782 Where should the Oscar taxiway ends? At the OHP? At the runway? Regards,
Anthony Lawrence Posted June 27, 2008 at 12:59 AM Posted June 27, 2008 at 12:59 AM Hi Rodrigo, The Oscar Taxiway should end at the intersection on the runway. So, if you have your runway: [RUNWAY 10/28] displaced threshold=0/0 turnoff=left -22.80160 -43.25528 -22.80155 -43.25536 -22.79883 -43.24342 -22.79784 -43.23922 [b]-22.79591 -43.23077[/b] -22.79294 -43.21782 Lets say, -22.79591 -43.23077 is the point at where Oscar joins the runway; the last intersection of the taxiway should be: -22.79591 -43.23077 [TAXIWAY O] -22.80588 -43.25460 -22.80542 -43.25536 -22.80517 -43.25582 -22.80452 -43.25629 -22.80374 -43.25667 -22.80268 -43.25589 -22.80233 -43.25559 -22.80183 -43.25527 [b]-22.79591 -43.23077[/b] Regards, A.... Rodrigo Bastos 956101 Posted June 27, 2008 at 09:31 PM Author Posted June 27, 2008 at 09:31 PM Hello Anthony, tks for the reply, but my problem was not solved. Let's suppose that these numbers below are the coordinates and you tell me what's wrong. Take a look at this picture: [TAXIWAY O] 1 2 3 4 5 [HOLD OHP] 5 [RUNWAY 10/28] displaced threshold=0/0 turnoff=left 6 5 7 ... Regards,
Anthony Lawrence Posted June 27, 2008 at 09:52 PM Posted June 27, 2008 at 09:52 PM If you look at the runway, the points you have plotted will be joined up, so the runway will not be straight, it'll go via all the points. So if you move point 5 into the centre of the runway, and then use that as the end of the taxiway, aircraft will automatically hold short of the runway where the current position 5 is. Regards, A...
