Gabriel Adei Posted July 1, 2008 at 09:55 PM Posted July 1, 2008 at 09:55 PM Hi All I recently got a second LCD monitor to setup a dual system for flight sim. Now here is the issue Both monitors have a native resolution of 1400x1050 and they are both setup as such. However when I go to move say my upper panel to the second monitor in full mode, the resolution on the second monitor drops to half (very poor). The resolution is ok in windowed mode but in windowed mode my AA does not work on the first monitor. And I dispise flying in windowed mode. I thought the dual monitor setup used to work when I had it with one LCD and one CRT. Cant remember that well. Help me if you can. GPU XFX 8800 GTS that supports two LCD monitors excerpts from the product page (It also features Dual Dual-Link DVI Technology that enables it to support digital output of up to 1560X1600 on two LCD monitors.) Lennart Vedin Posted July 1, 2008 at 11:05 PM Posted July 1, 2008 at 11:05 PM Did you check FS resolution setting for both two Hardware Displayes. (not just XP resolution setting) / Lennart Vedin /
Gabriel Adei Posted July 2, 2008 at 02:28 AM Author Posted July 2, 2008 at 02:28 AM Well I know how to set the display on one monitor from the Hardware page. But how do I set the display on the second monitor. Hmmm I will go try it now maybe I can actually select the name of the monitor and set the resolution. If that doesn't work then I am not sure. I will let you know. Thx for the tip though
Gabriel Adei Posted July 2, 2008 at 03:01 AM Author Posted July 2, 2008 at 03:01 AM FIXED! Turned out that I did not set the resolution for the second monitor in fs to what I want Under Display/Hardware/Device Name I had to select device 1 and then set it to 1400x1050 as the Device 0 and all is beautiful. Looks quite amazing. Thanks Lennart for your tip.
