Lennart Vedin Posted July 2, 2008 at 11:48 AM Posted July 2, 2008 at 11:48 AM FS9. The folder "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9" contain much more than a Guage folder and an empty Aircraft folder, else FS can not run. You may have installed a new fresh FS in an other location than the default. Aircraft and Scenery folder contain files for FS default aircrafts/sceneries. You should be able to put addon there. Note also "Program Files" are default program folder for English Windows. The folder "C:\Docomeents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9" contain FS9 user setting and are not automatically overwritten on FS9 re-installation. / Lennart Vedin /
Greg D'alessandro 1053762 Posted July 2, 2008 at 07:40 PM Author Posted July 2, 2008 at 07:40 PM Lennart, I understand there needs to be much more in the FS9 folder. the probalem is I cannot find those folders yet. This is what I see: http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/6776/fs9foldergh2.jpg I went back to my C drive and looked for the Docomeents and Settings Folder. I couldn't find it therefore I could not get to Application Data or the FS9 directory. http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/5888/oscyh7.jpg I am running Windows Vista if that helps at all. I do remember however that on my XP computer, FS9 always defaulted to my program files.
