Sound problems

hi In the last week, I have been setting up flights on VATSIM. Everything is fine technically untill towards the end of the flight, when the controllers and other pilots sound destorted, a bit like metal micky. Sometimes pressing Q helps the problem, or loging in and out of Sq B.

Is this a hardware or a simple memory problem? I would like to hear from people who have the same problem. This is a bit frustrating.

Many Thanks Julian

As it happens at the end of flights Julian I suspect your computer is running out of steam so to speak.

Two things you can try if not already done so.

In FS set your sound quality to low.

Find 'DxDiag', usually under C:\program Files\DirectX, and double click it.

Go to the 'sound' tab and set 'Hardware Sound Acceleration level' to Basic or none.

Thanks for that, i have set sound to basic, in the diagnostics. I will try it later tonight, to see what happens.
