Julian Diamandis 926992 Posted May 19, 2005 at 09:20 AM Posted May 19, 2005 at 09:20 AM hi In the last week, I have been setting up flights on VATSIM. Everything is fine technically untill towards the end of the flight, when the controllers and other pilots sound destorted, a bit like metal micky. Sometimes pressing Q helps the problem, or loging in and out of Sq B. Is this a hardware or a simple memory problem? I would like to hear from people who have the same problem. This is a bit frustrating. Dave Wild Posted May 19, 2005 at 09:34 PM Posted May 19, 2005 at 09:34 PM As it happens at the end of flights Julian I suspect your computer is running out of steam so to speak. Two things you can try if not already done so. In FS set your sound quality to low. Find 'DxDiag', usually under C:\program Files\DirectX, and double click it. Go to the 'sound' tab and set 'Hardware Sound Acceleration level' to Basic or none. HTH
