Grant Yatzkan 931919 Posted May 20, 2005 at 01:45 AM Posted May 20, 2005 at 01:45 AM I have been running FS9 for about 3 months with no real problems. I installed squakbox, and everytime while I run it and FS9, FS9 locks up about 5 or so minutes into it, whether I'm flying or just sitting on the ground. I lowered all my settings way down to see if that would do anything, and it didn't. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks
Clayton D'cruz 821352 Posted May 21, 2005 at 05:17 AM Posted May 21, 2005 at 05:17 AM well dont hold me to it, but it could be something to do with your sound card / drivers, go to start --> run >> and type dxdiag go to the sound tab and click on NO Hardware acceleration, maybe this may help? Lennart Vedin Posted May 22, 2005 at 12:08 AM Posted May 22, 2005 at 12:08 AM > I can still hear the people talking, and hear my plane, but the screen locks up, May try update driver. Drivers. Update drivers has solve several problem (my included). Seldom new problem come with new driver. Drivers coming with CD for new card are usually buggy. Try update your graphic card driver if it crash (typical freeze while sound just continue) or is strange. Grant Yatzkan 931919 Posted May 22, 2005 at 12:35 AM Author Posted May 22, 2005 at 12:35 AM I updated the drivers, and I think that fixed it (It hasn't frozen yet) thanks for the help. Edit : Yep, it worked, scared me though, I alt tabbed and came back in and it wasn't letting me do anything but after waiting about 5 seconds it started working again. Andrew Bryson 922744 Posted June 19, 2005 at 07:46 PM Posted June 19, 2005 at 07:46 PM Well, I upgraded my drivers but unfortunately my sim is still freezing up on me! I've tried to completely uninstall and reinstall SB... no luck. I'm sure all the controllers are P'd at me by now.
