Bill Casey Posted July 28, 2008 at 09:29 AM Posted July 28, 2008 at 09:29 AM The Accidenrt Investigators are now focussing their search for the cause on a missing pressurised orange bottle. They told our reporter "an exploding orange bottle could blow a hole in the side of a server similar to the one experienced in this incident". We understand that all server operators have been instructed to undertake detailed checks on all orange bottles installed near servers although these checks may take some days. A spokesman for the OAIB (Orange Accident Investigation Branch) said "there is no question of all servers being grounded at this time although we have issued urgent instructions to operators to undertake these checks". There has only been one previous incident involving a server and an orange bottle explosion, this also resulted in an emergency server shutdown but Gunnar said it wasn't his fault, it was Fluffy's. Board of Governors Gunnar Lindahl Posted July 28, 2008 at 10:49 AM Board of Governors Posted July 28, 2008 at 10:49 AM I must admit that, given the level of carnage, it must indeed have been Fluffy who is at the bottom of this. Michael Pike Posted July 28, 2008 at 04:01 PM Posted July 28, 2008 at 04:01 PM I understand the investigators (whilst not ruling anything out at this early stage) are focussing their attention on the colour orange as being a significant common factor. Meanwhile Press reports indicate that users of this service are causing some congestion in the departure lounge while they await alternative arrangements.
