To celebrate this phenomenal event, the Shanghai VACC at VATASIA will host a fly-in event on August 2, 2008. from 1300-1800z (Beijing Time 2100-0200). This fly-in will feature Beijing Capital Int'l Airport (ICAO: ZBAA/IATA: PEK), which is the biggest airport in terms of size in China. Pilots are welcomed to fly into or out of the airport, and full-staff ATC service is available during the event. Adjacent divisions will also be providing ATC during the event. Along with the fly-in, a contest is also held to add to the joy of the event. Pilots will be competing for the highest participation rate of their country of their home airport during the event.
