Next flight on VATIL's thursday flight series was from Lisboa to Medeira.

This time many of us flew, we were 18 flights (instead of the regular 5-6).

I would like to thank the Portugeese controllers Pedro Rodrigues Joege Feitoria and Daniel Gomez. I emailed Mr. Rodrigues on thursday morning, and he showed up with his two colleagues to give us superb ATC.

 

I am parked on the apron with ELY056 (Ran Finkels - VATIL6) and ELY731 (Israel Roth Who flew from his home cockpit as NFP while the FP was Kobi David - VATIL1).

Behind me, at the gates we can see ELY357 (Dan Morero), ELY232 (Mickey Lip, this time with a METAL aircraft) and KLM317 (Eran Regestreif).

What Happens now is really frustrating.

I am holding at FUN for about 15 minutes, when I get a text message about LPMA_APP calling me on voice. So I alt-enter to get to window mode so I can communicate easily with ATC on text. There was some voice problem.

After writing ATC I have a voice problem, I disconnected and re-connected, and voice came back to life. Mr. Pedro Rodrigues (Madeira Approach) clears me for the VOR-Visual approach for rwy05. I alt-enter again to get full screen view - and it never comes back. A Black screen!

So I quit FS via the task manager, reload and reconnect. Pedro allows me to resume flight, but I lost my queue. When I realize it will take more time, and it's already 1am in Israel (and I have a niversity cl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] at 8am) I just tell him I will disconnect and land offline.
