Try without any anti-virus program active , it can make problem and not absolute needed to have active.

While firewall is needed to protect your computer.

However a firewall will make you not able connect to Vatsim, without first open some ports in the firewall.

> I have a router from the type "speedtouch 510"

Then make sure you turn off all other firewall in your computer such as XP firevall.

> i think i need to open ports but i dont remeber the pasword and username of my net

I think there is a reset-button in the router (maybe in some hole).

Reset will restore the router to all default as from factory.

Just understant you will reset all the router configuration and you must be able to create complete new internet connection.

I don't know "speedtouch 510", but look manual or internet for informations.

Here is all information I have about ports:

I can't say for sure what port need to open, but following is as I use, and it works for me.

For AVC I open UDP port 3290 and 3782.

In summary all opened ports for Squawkbox, SBRelay and AVC, I myself have open:

TCP and UDP, 6809.

TCP and UDP, 6703.

UDP, 1900.

UDP, 6073.

UDP, 23456.

UDP, 3290.

UDP, 3782.

I have read existing docomeents as following:

"

Vatsim doc say:

6809 - for Squawkbox TCP/UDP

6703 for SBRelay (if Used) TCP/UDP

1900/6073/23456 for Direct Play UDP

In addition the AVC support write about:

UDP port 3290 and 3782.

http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay/help.html

If you have a router or firewall, try forwarding the following ports to your PC's internal IP address (see above for help locating your PC's internal IP, see your router or firewall's manual for help with forwarding ports):

* TCP 47624

* UDP 2300 to 2400

* UDP 6073

"

In Addition to this chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay, I recommend not to set DMZ (DeMillitaryZone), how I understand, it open all ports for one computer in a router.

I did go to www.google.com and search "speedtouch".

I found following address http://www.speedtouch.com/support.htm

SpeedTouch 510. ADSL Modem with built in router.

"Security reinforced by means of an inbuilt firewall"

English Manual:

http://www.speedtouch.com/pdf/ST500%20Users%20Guide_en%20R4.2.pdf

Again just remember you must know how to configure the SpeedTouch 510 if you reset it, or you might lose connection to internet.

Reseting will be as from factory, as when you did bye it.

The SpeedTouch 510 has not a reset-button.

Here is how to reset SpeedTouch 510:

"

5.2 SpeedTouchâ„¢ Default Configuration

How to perform a

hardware reset to

factory defaults

Proceed as follows:

1 Make sure the SpeedTouchâ„¢ is powered on.

2 Power off the SpeedTouchâ„¢ by pressing the power button until all LEDs turn off.

3 Press the power button once again (shortly).

4 As soon as the Power/System LED is flashing green, press the power button once

more (shortly).

5 The Power/System LED stops flashing to become solid green. After six seconds, it

starts flashing green again. Press the power button once more (shortly).

6 All LEDs flash green once.

7 The SpeedTouchâ„¢ reboots and will come online with factory default settings.

Resetting the system to its factory defaults also involves deleting the configuration

profile settings. You may, therefore, need to reconfigure the system using the Speed-

Touchâ„¢ Setup wizard or by uploading the relevant configuration file. See

“1.3 SpeedTouchâ„¢ Configuration Setupâ€

Hi Asaf!

Thanks you for your kind help but I have already solved the problem!I spent my last saturday in front of my pc and I was looking for pages on the web about routers and port forwarding issues.I found thousand of pages....choosed one of them...read it carefully....followed the instructions and finally I was on the vatsim and I could see the other players around me. However. I have another problem now...every aircraft in my area is the same type as I fly with.

Anyway, thanks again for offering me your help!
