From the beginning of May until the last week in July, ZOB members and visitors competed in a paycheck challenge. Controllers would turn hours into dollars. As they controlled, each position earned them a different hourly wage. Each week, controller received paychecks and weekly standings updates. For 90 days, these controllers competed and now nine of the best controllers on the ZOB member and visiting roster have been named ZOB All-Stars.

Throughout the month of August, these all-stars will be competing for only hours as we go through the playoff rounds. The playoffs are in total, three weeks, each week consisting of one round. After round one, four of the nine will move on to round two. After round two, two of the remaining four will move on to round three. At the end of round three, the ZOB Most Valuable Controller award will be presented to the winner of that round.

The playoffs will culminate with the ZOB Afternoon All-Star Event on Sunday August 24th as the top nine controllers will show off their stellar skills as we feature Pittsburgh for the event. You will find no better ATC in ZOB airspace than you will find at this All-Star event.

Now, here’s where YOU come in…

These controllers will be working hard and ZOB wants you to vote for your favorite. Visit http://www.zobartcc.org/smf/index.php?topic=2191.0 and vote for your favorite all-star controller. Also, please feel free to surf the Events Discussion forums on the ZOB website for the full standings information for each participating controller.
