Hi all,

My name is Rich Lackey, and I just wanted to say hi, and that I look forward to flying with you all. I am based in Cape Town and am building a full size Boeing 777 cockpit at home. I haven't been flying long but am already addicted, I bought MS Flight Simulator 2004 in November 2004, progressed though the flight training and now fly a Boeing 777 exclusively. I've never flown online with VATSIM but have observed a few times, and will soon be installing ADSL at home so I can join you all in the air and on the ground. At some point in the future I hope to fly with a virtual airline that flies the Boeing 777 in and out of Southern Africa.

I'm quite new at this, and will no doubt take some time to get used to flying with live ATC but your patience will be appreciated.

Rich

Welcome Rich

You think you're addicted and didn't fly online yet? I wonder what you'll say when you get to fly online. Welcome to the community and HAPPY LANDINGS

Thanks guys, do any of you know of a virtual airline that flies the 777 in and out of South Africa? I know SAA doesn't fly them, but BA have quite a few if memory serves me correctly, not sure how to find out on what routes they are flown. I'll do some research of my own too.

Thanks again! I hope to fly with you soon.

Rich

I saw pictures of Singapore airlines, Emirates and Sudi Arabian airlines pitures in south africa, as well as an occaisional KLM.

Try looking at the popular aviation pictures site, it's the best way to find out which airliners fly where.

Welcom mate. hope to see you at cruise alt.

You know there is a rule in VATSIM that says that evry person that building a home flight deck must show photos of his progress each month at least 2 photos (just kidding but i would like to see some photos)
