Brad Littlejohn Posted September 10, 2008 at 10:37 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 10:37 PM Only one concern with this. I hope that SUPs and higher will be around should some fool be stupid enough to sign on as the 4 callsigns used that day. Luckily over the past few years, we've been okay, but if there's an event planned for 2 of these routes, I worry about someone being stupid enough to try their luck with the callsigns. Ross, RJ, is it still technically possible to sign on to the network with them? we've had the standing rule not to, but is that based on good will for everyone, or is it actually impossible to use them? Steven Perry Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:20 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:20 PM Brad, Supervisors are alerted to these and other inappropriate callsigns. I do not believe the network rejects these callsigns at the log-in stage though. Steven Perry VATSIM Supervisor
Ross Carlson Posted September 11, 2008 at 12:44 AM Posted September 11, 2008 at 12:44 AM The server doesn't enforce any of the prohibited callsigns. The only rule it enforces is not squawking hijack.
