Romano Lara Posted September 16, 2008 at 10:34 AM Posted September 16, 2008 at 10:34 AM I encounter a message after startup saying DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Now, does anyone knows what's that Postmortem thingy and how can I get rid of it. Best regards! Garry Morris 920567 Posted September 16, 2008 at 12:32 PM Posted September 16, 2008 at 12:32 PM This could be anything Romano. Have you tried Googling this? I can remember dealing with DrWatson issues from the very distant past (circa 2000 or so). Are you using Windows 98? http://www.execjetva.com
Romano Lara Posted September 17, 2008 at 09:14 AM Author Posted September 17, 2008 at 09:14 AM Nope, I'm using windows XP. It's not appearing sometimes and sometimes it wouldn't appear. Maybe googling it will give me some answers. Anyway, how did you deal with this thing? Garry Morris 920567 Posted September 17, 2008 at 01:30 PM Posted September 17, 2008 at 01:30 PM It's been 8 years since I last dealt with a Dr. Watson error. Admittedly, I don't do nearly as much computer support sidework these days. Check your event logs when you get that error and see what you can find that is out of norm. Google the results of any errors you're seeing in the Event Log, Google any particularly relevant things that the Dr. Watson error is displaying...just Google anything you can find that even seems related to your issue. This kind of stuff is hard for me to deal with without sitting on the machine itself. Fixing computers issues in the software is as much an art as a science. http://www.execjetva.com
