Pierre Cornelissen 1047522 Posted September 18, 2008 at 10:20 AM Posted September 18, 2008 at 10:20 AM Hi, I see a lot of potential training a potential ATC student where the student controls the a/c using EuroScope and the instructor "fly" the a/c using the simulator's UI. This gives the student plenty of scope to learn apart from radio procedures, the workings of EuroScope as well. After giving it some thought, it is quite possible to kick off with a single a/c controlling from GND - TWR - APP - CTR and reverse, and the more comfortable the student becomes, the more a/c scenarios you can throw in - barring the instructor is capable "flying" all the a/c using the UI. PROBLEM: I have created a new Scenario File (FACT) with an a/c at the apron. (See setup below). When connecting the ILS buttons stays the same as for LHBP. How do I get the buttons to change for FACT (19). I have been through the forums and help files and MANTIS for a similar issue, but cannot find a solution. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe my setup file is incorrect? --content of file--- ILS01:S033.59.15.860 E018.36.32.011:009 ILS19:S033.57.35.420 E018.36.00.180:189 HOLDING:GE:100:1 AIRPORT_ALT:144 CONTROLLER:1:FACT_GND:121.900 CONTROLLER:2:FACT_TWR:118.100 @S:SAA925::1:S033.57.59.445:E018.35.49.473:144:090:0:0:0 $FPSAA925:*A:I:B738:430:FACT:1200:1200:FL350:FAJS:2:5:4:0:FAKM:/V/:TETAN AXOPA EGTIL APRAX TEVAR ESTED $ROUTE:SAA925:OKT3 TET4 TET5 TETAN AXOPA EGTIL APRAX TEVAR ESTED ---end of file--- Otherwise a well developed product. Gergely Csernak Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:39 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:39 PM Pierre, EuroScope uses the ':' to separate the items in the line. In your example you are missing it between longitude and latitude. Change the first two lines to the followings and it will work: ILS01:S033.59.15.860:E018.36.32.011:009 ILS19:S033.57.35.420:E018.36.00.180:189 Gergely. Pierre Cornelissen 1047522 Posted September 25, 2008 at 01:21 PM Author Posted September 25, 2008 at 01:21 PM Hi Gergely, Yeah after posting the message I've seen the mistake. Something else. I have put a helicopter on a pad, runway direction 0 and so on. I can get the helicopter to take-off, fly around, but in this world I do not know to land the helicopter. I have added a dummy ILS to no avail. I understand this is not a fully fledged simulator, but have managed to have 5 to 6 planes in the air and ground, can even do a push back and start. I see this as a sure way of training your ATC staff - and pilots alike - to learn the correct phraseology and the SIDS and STARS of an individual airport. Something I have picked up - the "real time" speed of the a/c moving appears to be slower than normal. It might been because I used a PIII (1.5GHz) 500MB laptop. But thanks anyway for a great product. Cheers Pierre
Gergely Csernak Posted September 30, 2008 at 08:39 PM Posted September 30, 2008 at 08:39 PM Pierre, Unfortunately so far we do not have any kind of plane capability. They all [Mod - Happy Thoughts]umed to be the same. I know we have to change it. And helicopters. To be honest I have never thought about them in the simulator. I do not think that your computer speed can have any affect on the real speed. I calculate the new positions only once a second, and for 6 to 10 planes it should net cause problem. Gergely.
