Hi,

I had some succesful flights on VATSIM useing SB. But now for some reason I cannot compleat the connection to VATSIM via SB.

I am running windows XP pro, FS9 , have Norton 2004 IS ( I don't beleave this is the problem I have flown already with this running )

1. I start SB relay, get the connect prompt

2. I start FS9 connect MP session, get "server has joined the session" message

3. I start SB host in FS9

4. I start SB 2.3, it goes through all the normal start and search ruteen, sees the session, I click join and I get the WINDOWS error report dialog box that says "Sqawk Box has had a problem and needs to shut down"

5. I did a reinstal, this seemed to work a couple times but now it does not help.

Any help would be greatly appriciated

Hi,

on my machine this exact thing happens if the SB Host window inside FS is not visible eg. FS minimized or FS Host window minimized.

So try to maximize your FS before setting up Squawkbox.

The same thing happened to me whilst trying to start squawkbox with SBhost when full screen mode was activated in FS.

If you turn to Window mode just before starting squawkbox, there should be no problem. Afterwards you can return to the full screen mode.

This thing is written in the readme file that comes with SBhost.dll

Hope it helps.
