Oakland ARTCC is pleased to announce Friday Night Ops at San Francisco!

The event will take place between 0000Z - 0400Z, September 26th. San Francisco will be fully staffed along with two center, three approach controllers, and other local towers. Please be sure to review charts and procedures before attending the event as traffic levels will be high. We hope to see many pilots attend, don't miss a fun night!

It was a great night out at SFO . I did a flight from SFO to LAX, both airports were packed!

I did LAX to SFO ... the controllers did a fantastic job with all the traffic. The final approach controller (I forgot to get his name) did an especially good job. The pilots seemed to be on top of their game as well. Great fun!

Thank you Ross for the kinds words. I was the finall approach controller and except for one Delta guy on text who got lost in the shuffle it was a fun and challenging night. When SFO is visual the paralell approaches are quite a sight for pilots, p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]engers and controllers. The primary responsibility for seperation switches from the controller to the pilot once the pointouts have been made to the pilots. Thanks to everyone for coming out it was a fun event.
