Mark Niehold 1077432 Posted September 30, 2008 at 04:45 AM Posted September 30, 2008 at 04:45 AM I currently bought a Dell XPS 630i with 240g hardrive, 3.25g of ram, Nvidia Geforce 8800 756mg video card along with a inte core 2 processor I am also running XP. The pc works fine with FX however, my frame rate has a bit of hitch. Does anyone have answers to help increase FX frame rates fonts? all suggestions are welcome. Lastly, this only started when downloaded VATSIM. I am sure there is a work around I just have to find it.
Wycliffe Barrett Posted September 30, 2008 at 09:26 AM Posted September 30, 2008 at 09:26 AM Hi have you got service pack 1 on FSX. That will make a heck of a diffrence and then download service pack 2 for FSX. You say you downloaded VATSIM and your framerates dropped, what do you mean you downloaded VATSIM, that makes no sense as I understand it. One cannot download VATSIM, you can download two diffrent pilot clients that allow you to connect to the VATSIM network. They do not under normal circomestances effect framerates. Go to Google and do a search for FSX tweaks, you will be surprised what comes up. Furthermore tweak FSX within the sim settings turn all sliders to th eleft and then start to add things on slowly. what kind of flying do you do VFR in GA or IFR in heavy aircraft at FL320 and above. If you fly IFR why do you need all the detail turned up, you cant see houses and buildings to well from 32000ft.
