ZLA's Pilot Cert Program saw its 250th pilot complete a rating today, with around 1500 rating attempts among them.

We continue to receive positive feedback about the diversity of the ratings, and the materials that they cover.

Thanks to the pilots and controllers that continue to make the program a success!

What is the overall p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]/fail rate for the various ratings?

Anthony,

It's hard to provide and accurate number because I sense that on occasion, if a test is not p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ed, the controller does not submit any result at all. I would estimate the p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] rate at roughly 95%. The margin for error is relatively generous. The very fact that a pilot is showing up to do the rating at all is a very good thing and we want to continue to encourage pilots to progress through the system.

Aside from the goals set out in the rating to be flown I suppose I have a fail criteria. Gross Pilot deviation and failing to properly execute the what is listed in the exam (I don't count hold entries simply because the methods are 'recommended').

That is fantastic. I signed up but had put it on the back burner due to other issues. This thread definitely reminded me to get off my duff and get to work on this. This evening, HNL time, I will get started; if I can find a controller when I get home.

Really, great job ZLA!
