Greetings,

I'm new to VATSIM (which after playing I can see why it's so addicting) and need help with [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igning a button on my CH yoke to act as the PTT. I've tried several ways but it doesn't like the way I'm doing it apparently.

It's just a nusiance to reach to my keyboard and since I have all those fancy buttons might as well put them ALL to use.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Patrick

Welcome to VATSIM Patrick Ladd !

I have a freeware for this purpose at http://hem.p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]agen.se/lvedin/dk/freeware/fs with some other options as well. You need to change SB3 default ScrollLock into Left-Ctrl (or optionally Right-Ctrl) to use PTT.

CH products maybe also have some freeware. http://www.chproducts.com

However FSUIPC full paywear http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html may be easier to use and has a lot of other options.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

I got the thrust reverser to work with no problem but still can't get the PTT to work correctly. I set SB to work off Lctrl the button will not work as PTT. Anyway, I'll play with it again when I get home from work and re-enter and double check my work.

Again, thanks for the help and another useful utility.

Patrick

KeyMacro PTT.

Yes, by default you should first change SB3 PTT to work with Left-Ctrl.

Take notice you must set two macros active in KeyMacro ("AVC Talk on" a down-event, and "AVC Talk off" an upp-event).

You kan also laborate with KeyMacro by change e.g. to letter A, and to B. If have focus in Notepad, it should write A when you push your PTT-button and B when you release your PTT-button.

means simulate Left-Ctrl key down, and means simulate Left-Ctrl key up.
