Bruce Clingan 1046339 Posted November 9, 2008 at 04:09 PM Posted November 9, 2008 at 04:09 PM To all controllers and pilots who participated, The staff and controllers at Indy would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who helped make the Indianapolis terminal event a huge success. We had over 120 aircraft in and out of the KIND terminal area including numerous satellite field arrivals and departures, and countless other aircraft in and out of fields throughout the center sector. This could not be possible without the work of our Events Coordinator John Moore and his countless hours emailing virtual airlines advertising the event so kudos to him. All of the surrounding ARTCC's who staffed up center sectors and satellite fields in their airspace please know that your efforts did not go unnoticed and we will do our best to return the favor. A special thank you goes out the the Chicago (ZAU) ATM Jason Vodnasky and his staff for providing unparalleled support for our event. They provided multiple center sectors as well as having many of their TRACONs and Tower Cab facilities open. There was almost a highway in the sky between Indy and the O'Hare and Midway areas. This was a true testament to how the ARTCCs should work together, and how this type of coordination between neighboring ARTCCs benefits both facilities. Jason I look forward to continuing this relationship in the future. To all the pilots that flew in and out of Indy I wish to extend an invitation to tell us how we did. Either on this forum or through our feedback page at feedback.vzidartcc.org. The VATSIM network is a learning environment as the founders reminded us last week and we want to learn what could have made your experience a little better. Thanks again to everyone Bruce Clingan vZID Air Traffic Manager vZID Instructor "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Yeah... we didn't get that call... ... Just kidding.
