I don't know if its related to color management but my monitor had a complete hardware failure shortly there after. I had to get a replacement but it was under warranty. My guess it's your monitor asking for that crazy mode... Click PROFILE in the menu, look for BOARD STYLE, and play around with them. Your monitor has nothing to do with it, unless you see it in a different color than I do. If the Start Bar is messed up too, you're likely looking at a monitor or video card problem.
