VATSIM Middle East

Press Release for December 17, 2008

The VATSIM Middle East Division has unveiled its new website at http://www.vatme.org. This new website, while still in development, will soon feature a training department, review forms, live online status updates, and more! This is all to the great handy work for VATME5, Mr. Fabio Oliveira.

VATSIM Middle East has also made its forum operational at http://www.vatme.org/forum and asks that all members of VATME please make forum accounts. Expect stylistic changes soon!

In addition, VATME has announced its newest project: vmeso (VATSIM Middle East Special Operations). Due to political and social considerations, the staff of VATME have decided to lump all regional air forces into one, large organization which encomp[Mod - Happy Thoughts]es each and every representative country in the division. According to VATME Director, Mahmoud Fadli, this is to ensure that an environment rich in cooperation, fun, and realism is created without the encomebrances of politics. Each national air force will instead be a division of vmeso, with the country’s corresponding two letter VATME identification added to the end of vmeso to signify its division. While the air forces will be modeled after their real world counterpart, the intent of this new special operations department is to ensure that there is room for some “customization.â€
