Anthony Atkielski 985811 Posted December 25, 2008 at 09:30 AM Posted December 25, 2008 at 09:30 AM I've been unable to connect to the ZLA Web site since last night. I thought it was an Internet problem (my connection has been terrible all month), but today the connection is working okay (at least for a while) and the Web site still doesn't answer. Is it down? I tried the link from the VATUSA site to make sure I had it right and it still didn't work.
Wade Williams 877539 Posted December 25, 2008 at 10:45 AM Posted December 25, 2008 at 10:45 AM It's down. It's hosted by Keith Smith, and I'm guessing it's gone down and he's away for the holidays. I'm sure it will be back up as soon as he can resolve it.

Keith Smith Posted December 26, 2008 at 06:38 PM Posted December 26, 2008 at 06:38 PM I hadn't gone anywhere for the holidays, but we were hosting my in laws at the house for the entire day, so I wasn't anywhere near a PC. Evidently the problem took care of itself. The cable connection has become less and less reliable over time, though. I think it's a physical wiring issue, made worse by the recent weather. In the coming months, I'll be moving the equipment into a colo facility. I suspect the site will not be any faster (business grade cable is pretty speedy as is), but it should be more reliable. It's a shame, the site was rock solid for the longest time, but as of late, the cable modem has required periodic reboots.
