Romano Lara Posted January 5, 2009 at 12:39 PM Posted January 5, 2009 at 12:39 PM I need urgent help guys, I need all the help I can get now. If there are some good IT or have some knowledge with these please don't hesitate to help me. I know there are lots of guys out there.. So here we go.. - - - - - - - - - - I'm having problems with system restore recently. This started when I experienced problems with Nhancer & Active sky, the icons on system tray launch takes a long time and when I'm trying to start an application, it goes onto the process but no window shows up. Now I started thinking, this is some serious problem I'm having. I've started looking around for solutions, but then they just keeps giving the same 'possible' solutions that might have worked for others but never on my end. Now, I thought system restore could help me with this problem but in this case I can't get the system restore to work. I have some restore points but when I'm on the part where I'm to click next to do the restoration, it just stays there and nothing happens (even when I click next a million times). I've googled this already, but keeps giving me the same solutions (ie: troubleshoot system restore). After doing some 'possible solutions' I've found on the net, now another problem rised..all my restoration points are lost. I can't really fly under these conditions, so please spare me some help guys. All your help will be appreciated! Garry Morris 920567 Posted January 5, 2009 at 03:12 PM Posted January 5, 2009 at 03:12 PM Repeat after me. System restore is NOT my friend. Do not use it for any reason. If you install something and it messes up something else, uninstall the recently installed item. Don't restore the system. Can't help you here. Your only non-destructive option is to dig around and attempt to figure out what you screwed up. In lieu of that, you either need to do a repair reinstall of XP, or a total reformat. Good luck. http://www.execjetva.com
