I am going to buy a decent joystick but no pedals.

I have no joystick anymore ( the old one failed). So can I get some suggestions for a good joystick without pedals. That means it has to be a twister for rudder axis.

Thanks

Saitek's AV8R is a nice stick, very reasonably priced, and is my 'backup' to my CH yoke, and military stick.

I second that recommendation on the Saitek AV8R. Liked it so much I bought a Saitek X52 pro I personally don't care for yokes/pedals either, to me it looks as useful as a trackball.

I think that depends on what you fly. I have and use both, yoke and a x52.

I use:

Saitek AV8R stick

Saitek X52 Throttle

Some day, the FS fairy (hmmmmm) will bring me a set of rudder pedals and a yoke! (note to self: how to hide the purchase from my wife )

"What, this old thing, I've had it in the closet for years, I just never use it."

That equals her "What this dress, I've had it in the closet for years, I just never wore it".

Works on us doesn't it?

Thanks to everyone who replied. I will probably go for the AV8R joystick for now.

Cheers
