Jose A. Vega 942014 Posted January 23, 2009 at 11:25 PM Posted January 23, 2009 at 11:25 PM Many controllers are complaining and it seems like a Global thing (maybe). We're getting a 0 servers found error, but we've been online like 30 mins before. Now we all checked and it seems VRC is deleting the servers on the Servers.txt file. Has anyone else had this problem?
Gabriel Gafford 973956 Posted January 23, 2009 at 11:36 PM Posted January 23, 2009 at 11:36 PM Hey Jose, I am experiencing the same problem. Usually I can just restart VRC like once or twice, but I've done it multiple times now and am getting nothing.

Matt Booker Posted January 24, 2009 at 12:01 AM Posted January 24, 2009 at 12:01 AM I find that its normally best to close down VRC and wait 5 mins in that time it normally locates the servers and hay presto Matt BookerVATSIM Supervisor | Team 2 Lead[email protected]
Ross Carlson Posted January 24, 2009 at 01:31 AM Posted January 24, 2009 at 01:31 AM This is caused by a glitch in the new data server, which publishes the server list that VRC downloads. We're working on it. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Ross Carlson Posted January 24, 2009 at 01:38 AM Posted January 24, 2009 at 01:38 AM We're putting in a temporary workaround that will fix the VRC issue, and buy us time to work on the related data server issue. Alex Vainer 929287 Posted January 24, 2009 at 02:39 AM Posted January 24, 2009 at 02:39 AM You could just put the servers in your myservers.txt file, that should have all of them there. Alex "AV" Vainer C1 Los Angeles ARTCC

Jose A. Vega 942014 Posted January 24, 2009 at 02:10 PM Author Posted January 24, 2009 at 02:10 PM You could just put the servers in your myservers.txt file, that should have all of them there. We've tried that and VRC keeps deleting them. But thats ok, like Mr. Carlson says, its something on the server not our PCs.
Tim Krajcar Posted January 24, 2009 at 04:38 PM Posted January 24, 2009 at 04:38 PM VRC downloads and auto-deletes servers.txt, not myservers.txt. Open your servers.txt file and if servers are listed, simply copy it and rename it myservers.txt and you'll be all set. Tim Tim Krajcar

Gray Taylor 1041931 Posted January 26, 2009 at 11:29 PM Posted January 26, 2009 at 11:29 PM Like others have said, the best way to work around this issue is to copy and paste the servers into myservers.txt, which, if you haven't already made it, is used for Sweatbox in most regions. Thomas Carter Posted March 9, 2009 at 07:58 PM Posted March 9, 2009 at 07:58 PM I had the same problem i sorted mine out, by deleting the servers file, and then VRC or VATSIM installs the new one onto your system Thomas Carter
