Kenny May 1056391 Posted January 24, 2009 at 04:42 PM Posted January 24, 2009 at 04:42 PM hello,this system was running fine,till a couple of months ago, what i've noticed is,i started to get some kind of lag, my fps is set at 25,which drops to 24.9 to appox 24.7,what happens is the fs9 ,pauses for a about second,more like a draging back,but it can happen 3 times,stop and go in ,a row,more ,over a airport,specialty in a low sharp bank,i'm using add on scenery uk2000, and tried other,add ons,which is still the same,i thought i was having bottleneck probs from the ram,so upgraded from 2gb to 4gb,still the same,then changed from nvidia ge force 7600 to the 280gtx,video card,still the same,i'm now testing now with default scenery,to see what happens,i have noticed my h/d is very active ,when flying,and when i'm not active on the comp,sometimes, its buzzing away,staying red,when checked,lots of processes running, to me it seems the h/d cant keep up,with fs9, maybe another h/d in raid format,which is crazy,as this system should be,well pardon the pun,really flying,i normally fly at 1920x1200,when i go to windowed mode, my fps drop to 17, when i hit alt and enter, its back up again , i also,use a second 15 inch,monitor,to run fsnav, i have reinstalled fs9,but its still the same, now going to reinstall nhancer,some other games ,which ive tried crysis,brothers in arms,call of duty, all run at the highest, spec at ease, any help would be great,thanks cooler master centurion 532 atx mid-tower case Intel core 2 duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz 2.67GHz nvidia ge force 280 gtx,1gb,OC Asus P5N32E-SLI PLUS, SKT 775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX Motherboard OCZ 4GB (4 x 1GB) 800Mhz PC6400 Gold Memory,4-5-5 timings Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm, 32MB Hard Disk Drive, 256 gb free Thermaltake W0117RB Toughpower 750 watt ATX PSU SLI monitor acer P243W 24inch resolution up to 1920x1200 second monitor toshiba 15 inch resolution up to 1280x1024, useing 800x600 for fsnav OS vista 32bit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If your hard drive is thrashing constantly, and you have lots of processes, you likely have a nice spyware/adware/malware infection going on.
