Gary Law 842041 Posted July 4, 2005 at 01:09 AM Posted July 4, 2005 at 01:09 AM Dear mate: According to AIP Hong Kong, with effect from 0001(UTC) 7 July 2005, RNAV(GNSS) Standard Instrument Departures will be introduced and all the Hong Kong Standard Instrument Departure Procedures will be revised. The RNAV(GNSS) SIDs will be available to aircraft equipped with appropriate RNAV systems operations in Terminal Airspace. Non-compliant aircraft shall fly the alternative conventional departure procedures. In order to avoid proliferation of SIDs, the conventional SIDs have been modified to follow very similar tracks as the RNAV(GNSS) SIDs for using the same set of SID identifications. Charts currently on: http://www.hkatc.gov.hk/HK_AIP/supp/A07-05.pdf And Hong Kong FIR will follow that and New SIDs will be used at the same time. But the old SIDs will still be avaliable in the transiting period for about 3 months. Please ask ATCs online for more detail. Thank you for your kindly attention. Best Regards, Gary Law Controller 3 in Hong Kong FIR,VATSIM. Regards, Gary Law Hong Kong VACC Chief , VATSEA
