Tommy Tull 863881 Posted July 7, 2005 at 11:56 PM Posted July 7, 2005 at 11:56 PM I live in Indiana where we change time zones not the time. My problem is with SERVINFO.EXE. I look at my clock settings and I have it set to Central Time right now but it says that is "GMT -6:00". I look at the clock on SERVINFO and it says my local time is "UTC -5". If I look at the clock on VatSim it's 1 hour ahead of what the clock on SERVINFO says. The real problem is when I cannect to a server with SERVINFO I get the message that the info is more than 1 hour out of date. I can disable this message in the "connection parameters" by changing the "show warrnings" to never. I have two question; 1. Can I fix this some how?2. If I change "show warrnings" to never is the info going to be correct? Thanks, Tommy
Lennart Vedin Posted July 8, 2005 at 12:11 AM Posted July 8, 2005 at 12:11 AM Windows has two times, local time and GMT time. Windows GMT time is a direct result of the TimeZone you select. Windows GMT time is used by many programs like ServInfo. I guess you'r Windows GMT clock is wrong. (I dont know how to see Windows UTC time, but it's not really needed.) You must change your Time Zone back in Windows so it match your real local time i.e. real GMT -XX:XX, I suppose GMT -5:00 (Indiana) then. > I live in Indiana where we change time zones not the time. I don't think Bill Gate concidered that. I guess you must change the time anyway, to get Windows GMT time correct. / Lennart Vedin /
