I am working on a program similar to ServInfo but in VB.net and with more updated features, etc.

and if I select continue, the program seems to freeze any other attempt at downloading as the VATSIM button is greyed out.

Since you are developing an applicaton that accesses VATSIM's data, I suggest you contact Ross Carlson (VP of Development) to sign an NDA and get it straight from the horse's mouth...

Hi Daniel,

 

I believe your reply about that should be to David.

 

As far as I know, you don't need to sign an NDA to access the data feed from the network. I think David was simply suggesting that if you were interested in creating some apps for VATSIM, you could contact Ross and have a chat with him. Other, more integrated apps probably will require an NDA. But for this, you don't need to.

 

That's my understanding of it anyway.
