Justin Nguyen 1074587 Posted February 16, 2009 at 03:09 PM Posted February 16, 2009 at 03:09 PM I have VIsta with an Intel Express Chipset, I did the temporary fix (disable it), it worked, but the font is messed with letters and symbols. I DO NOT want to delete my chipset driver. What's the font VRC uses?
Ross Carlson Posted February 16, 2009 at 05:09 PM Posted February 16, 2009 at 05:09 PM It's just called "VRC". It may appear as "VRC Terminal". Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Justin Nguyen 1074587 Posted February 16, 2009 at 06:06 PM Author Posted February 16, 2009 at 06:06 PM Ross, thanks. But how can I fix this problem now?
Ross Carlson Posted February 16, 2009 at 07:39 PM Posted February 16, 2009 at 07:39 PM I'm afraid I don't use Vista and have no idea what might be causing the issue. Maybe someone else here can chime in. In the meantime, I would try reinstalling VRC. Ahmed Hasan 958620 Posted February 17, 2009 at 03:55 PM Posted February 17, 2009 at 03:55 PM searching out the forums with Intel chipset will lead to many answers anyway there is no solution for this problem unless Intel works out a driver that works with Vista and allows you to disable hardware acceleration for more informtion check the search button above as suggested before Ahmed H[Mod - Happy Thoughts]an
Justin Nguyen 1074587 Posted February 18, 2009 at 11:56 PM Author Posted February 18, 2009 at 11:56 PM Ahmed. I don't mind that, I just need to fix the font. So is there any solution to that?
Jacques Malan 995061 Posted February 21, 2009 at 09:54 AM Posted February 21, 2009 at 09:54 AM Justin, I read somewhere in the forums (long time ago) that in some cases you must lower the Hardware Acceleration of the Intel graphics card for VRC to work properly. Find it in your graphics display properties under Advanced, Troubleshooting. Dunno if it will fix your specific problem.. just thought i'd throw it in. Good luck (edit) Sorry, I see the hardware acceleration issue has already been addressed.. disregard this. Jacques Malan VATSIM Supervisor
