Robert Barrett 879799 Posted July 9, 2005 at 03:40 PM Posted July 9, 2005 at 03:40 PM I have been in contact with BUR_APP & LAX_APP. Regarding BUR After hours Procdures. As it seems ZLA is not up to date with "Noise Abatement Procedures" the Following is my Companys procedures due to noise restrictions. this was faxed to me by Burbank Twr. "As stated in the operations bulletin, we expect that every effort will be made by each of you to adhere to this program unless weather or other valid operational considerations dictate otherwise. These runway [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignments will be in affect for the hours between 0200 and 0600 each morning. For the remaining curfew hours (between 2200 and 0200), we request that you use care and discretion in your choice of runways, making sure you are aware of the noise you generate with engine run ups and how that reverberates through the quiet atmosphere in the wee hours of the morning. ALL Runway 8 departures between 2200 and 0800 Local are PROHIBITED unless weather or other runway closures or severe operational considerations leave no other option" The Runway [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ignments are as follows Runway 15 AMF104 BE99 BUR-MYF Departing 0545 Runway 26 AMF101 PA31 BUR-MYF Departing 0545 AMF108 SA227 BUR-OAK Departing 0215 AMF111 BE99 BUR-SLC Departing 0325 AMF127 PA31 BUR-VGT Departing 0535 AMF137 SA227 BUR-PHX Departing 0230 AMF286 LR35A BUR-APA Departing 0315 AMF281 LR35A BUR-OAK Departing 0315 AMF159 SA227 BUR-OAK Departing 0325 AMF1942 Be99 BUR-ONT Departing 0500 Runway 33 AMF172 BE99 BUR-OAK Departing 0143 now this is just AMF, but i have seen biz jets follow the same guidlines as well as Airlines, Exception: Mercy flights, Miltary, and Law Enfourcement Exempt. We trying to keep it as real as possible, So I though I would share this with you! Hope it Helps.
Ross Carlson Posted July 9, 2005 at 05:38 PM Posted July 9, 2005 at 05:38 PM This kind of thing would be better sent direct to the ARTCC. ZLA has a feedback form that might be appropriate: http://www.laartcc.org/feedback.php Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
Bryan Wollenberg 810243 Posted July 11, 2005 at 12:07 AM Posted July 11, 2005 at 12:07 AM This is good information indeed. Would be good to e-mail both the Burbank Tracon Lead (Jim Thompson... webmaster at laartcc.org) and Marc Sykes, our fearless leader (chief at laartcc.org) with this info. I'll also point them to this thread. Bryan Wollenberg ZLA!
Josh Hjemvick 811983 Posted July 11, 2005 at 12:29 AM Posted July 11, 2005 at 12:29 AM Great information Robert. I know my colleagues try to stay up to date, but this will only help. I'm sure Jim or Marc will use the information as they see fit. Just wish other facilities would do the same, especially when real world data comes into them. Thanks again Robert! Marc Sykes 852946 Posted July 11, 2005 at 05:29 AM Posted July 11, 2005 at 05:29 AM My chief@ address seems to be inop right now, but I have seen the thread and will p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] it on to our airports/charts gurus. Thanks for the info. I try to avoid runway 8 departures under any circomestances because VATSIM pilots aren't always real good at making turns immediately after takeoff, and the terrain east of the field will turn you into pizza if you try to fly runway heading off 8. We mostly use 15 for everyone unless the winds mandate the use of 33, but I have used both 26 and 33 late at night, as happens in the real world too. Again, thanks for p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ing it along. Marc Sykes Toronto ACC Trainee
