Andreas Fuchs Posted February 17, 2009 at 04:08 PM Posted February 17, 2009 at 04:08 PM Following is the official announcement of the FreeZ-team for the release of version 0.7 of FreeZ. One of the main-features is that they resolved the framerate-problem caused by the apron-lights, but just go and read the text or download the scenery: http://www.freez.aero/ Please bear in mind that support is given at the forum of FreeZ, there's also section for questions in English. ============================================= Zürich, February 15, 2009 Dear pilots! Finally we are able to present you a new version of FreeZ! Unfortunately it took way too long until me and Marc were able to publish this new release. You can rest [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ured that we will release V0.9 until the beginning of summer 2009, but keep in mind: FreeZ will never be finished... A complete package Version 0.7 is a complete package. We know that for some of you it is not that great to download such huge file. But since the improvement of the scenery is an ongoing project, many and serious changes are being made on the BGLs and BMPs, making a new version more appropriate. Adapted to your computer This time we decided to offer two different versions of FreeZ: for standard-computers you should look for "FreeZ v0.7 Standard" in our homepage's download-section. For fast machines (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ or Intel Core2 Duo E6600 and faster) we are providing „FreeZ v0.7 Ultra Edition“. So, what's the difference between these two versions? The „Ultra Edition“ includes the runway lighting as in the real world. This, however, has a heavy impact on frame rates. In the „Standard Version“ we have installed again the lights from FreeZ version 0.5 because these lights will drag your frame rates down only by a very small percentage. All other features in both versions of FreeZ v0.7 are identical! We sincerly hope that all pilots will be able to fully enjoy our FreeZ-scenery from now on, without paying a single Cent! Our slogan remains: Freeware comes from the heart... In closing we wish you a lot of fun with the scenery!!! Yours sincerly, the FreeZ-Team Marc Läderach und Remo Eugster Cheers, Andreas Member of VATSIM GermanyMy real flying on InstagramMy Twitch streams of VATSIM flights and ATC
