Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted February 25, 2009 at 02:48 PM Posted February 25, 2009 at 02:48 PM Hello Martins, check the two other topics on voice problems, possible reasons: Not Open Ports: 6809 TCP Aircraft position updates and general network data Outgoing - generally no forwarding needed. 3782 TCP+UDP Voice communications Outgoing - generally no forwarding needed. 3290 UDP Voice communications MUST be forwarded through your router! Firewall issues. Change the WAVE to Direct and vice-versa for some troubleshooting. Gergely Csernak Posted February 27, 2009 at 08:16 PM Posted February 27, 2009 at 08:16 PM Martins, Some things to be checked: - Do you hear yourself when "Connect mike to playback device" is checked? - Do you have the headphones in RCV VOI and XMT VOI columns? Do they change when you press the PTT button? - Do you see the connected users in the channel? - Try the right click on a controller and select "listen to frequency" button. Gergely. Yes - Do you have the headphones in RCV VOI and XMT VOI columns? Do they change when you press the PTT button? Yes, they change to red when I push PTT. When Pilot comes in it does not change to red. - Do you see the connected users in the channel? Yes, I see them all. - Try the right click on a controller and select "listen to frequency" button. Its silent. But I do see all his pilots in the list. Maybe this have something to do with Port Forwarding? I have Tomato WRT on Linksys WRT54GL Router. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:46 PM Posted March 23, 2009 at 02:46 PM OK, to summarize: - firewall disabled; - three ports forwarded; - you did change from WAVE to Direct and vice-versa; - pilots can hear you, you see the red mic icon, but you don't hear them and you don't see the red headset; - you see the pilots in the voice channel; Some questions to follow: - do you experience any similar behaver on VATSIM with VRC, ASRC, SquawkBox or FSInn? - did you try the G2G communication with some fellow controller and could you hear him and he you? From what I see (I am far the worst qualified for that) I think it might not be ES fault. On your first post you said that initially you couldn't hear pilots and they you. After re installation the pilots were able to hear you, but you them not....It just may by that the first time ES couldn't forward the ports and the second, it managed to do just part of them.... I'm out of ideas if some one else can help here... EuroScope BETA Tester/Board of Designers

Wondering why my Lenovo laptop doesn not receive sound from other VATSIM members.. as well as UPnp dosnt seem to work. For 2 other PC's I see UPnp active requests in router, but none from my laptop. I have checked SSD service and UPnp in Networking, its enabled. - did you try the G2G communication with some fellow controller and could you hear him and he you? **From what I see (I am far the worst qualified for that) I think it might not be ES fault. I see blips on the radar.. but incoming Voice channel is silent. Is there a way how can Incoming voice come in like blips does, so I dont need to forward ports? **I have forwarded them, but it doent work on my Lenovo. How could I diagnose PC problem?
