Jacques Malan 995061 Posted March 7, 2009 at 10:21 AM Posted March 7, 2009 at 10:21 AM For the past 2 days my Euroscope METAR's have not updated. Today (7 March) it still shows metar information of 4 March, 10:30 (041030Z ) I have done the following: - Uninstalled ES - Removed all references of Euroscope from the registry - Deleted the Eusoscope folder from the hard disk - Restart computer (cold boot) - Downloaded a fresh Euroscope install file from the ES website - Reinstalled Euroscope My computer date is correct. On this fresh install, I opened the default Hungary sector file. After connecting, I can select ANY metar from anywhere in the world, and it shows the metar date and time as 041030Z. Any suggestions please guys?? Jacques Malan VATSAF Membership Manager Jacques Malan VATSIM Supervisor
Gergely Csernak Posted March 7, 2009 at 10:29 AM Posted March 7, 2009 at 10:29 AM Jacques, It is not related to your EuroScope installation. When you need a METAR I simply ask the servers about and I display the data received back. So if the the METAR is outdated then this is due to the servers and not your client. There is nothing we can fix in the client side. Gergely. EuroScope developer
Jacques Malan 995061 Posted March 7, 2009 at 11:04 AM Author Posted March 7, 2009 at 11:04 AM Gergely, Thank you for the prompt response. Last night other ATC on the same server, using the same sector file, had updates from the server every 30 to 60 minutes, while mine remained on the same metar from 2 days ago. I am now thinking it may be my DSL router. Will report back Jacques. Jacques Malan VATSIM Supervisor
Norman Blackburn Posted March 7, 2009 at 11:44 AM Posted March 7, 2009 at 11:44 AM Is it possible that they are referencing vatsim data whilst yours is set to satnet? Norman
Jacques Malan 995061 Posted March 7, 2009 at 12:09 PM Author Posted March 7, 2009 at 12:09 PM Thank you Norman, I double checked the satnet vs vatsim settings, and it is set to vatsim (//vatsim.info/servinfo/vatsim-data.txt) Do I need to change it anywhere else than settings.txt? I disabled firewall and antivirus, still no change. Jacques Malan VATSIM Supervisor
