In real life, there's not much of a difference from that shot. Also, I've been into that place before with my C152 (virtual). A good place for some closed circuits, if only they've got a good add-on for that scenery.

I flew there on Sunday on my first navex, in VH-KKX.. a 172.. in real life first time i'd been there and the first of many mind you! Nice neat runway and quite an upslope from 07..

 

I'd be happy to connect up sometime and fly some circuits with ya

..CPL/Instructor Rating/NVFR/Aerobatics/Tailwheel/C152/C172/DHC1/M20J..

YBUN has been revamped in OzX (http://www.aussiex.org) ... by me actually.

 

It fits in nicely with the FTX landcl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] (payware) and is available free as part of OzX 2.2 for any who are interested.

ive got ozx and au blue

 

but there's a probly with the taxiway at dawn and day time,

there's a gap between taxi way

 

can you fix this?

Dawn problems I am aware about ... that's an FSX pixel shader issue interacting with the bump map..

 

Which problem are you noting during the daytime?? There are xome specular issues on the gravel on a rear taxi join.

 

We have tested it pretty extensively ... perhaps pop a screenshot over at the support forums. at aussiex.org

 

As for the "crop circle" - I'm not sure exactly whether you're referring to the default pic above, the photoreal OzX version, or indeed an FTX texture ....

ive got a screenshot but i can't post at aussiex but i can post at ftx fourms

and about the crops circles - someone commented on them in the photo above i took ages ago and now ive got ftx

To post a screenshot as Aussiex you can either attach it (as a jpg)

 

Alternatively, all registered members can set up their own gallery page, and post screens there .. it will then have BBcode you can link into whichever post on the forums.

 

Not too difficult......

 

Alternatively Photobucket and imageshack links work just fine ....

 

or Flickr for that matter

 

(BTW ... OzX is actually freeware) .. but blended to FTX (payware)

For comparison, here is roughly the same aspect as the shot above, but with FTX AuBlue and with OzX 2.2

 

You'll note the surrounding landcl[Mod - Happy Thoughts] is quite different.

The Go-Kart track and adjacent prison are both present,

and there are no longer houses where the hangers should be

 

The image is hosted by Photobucket, and the BBcoding is the same as used at OzX

Have certainly seen the problem at Dawn ... and have put up a patch for beta - at this stage just involved changing two of the hi-res asphalt textures (bump and detail maps)

 

Keep checking the OZx site - might offer it as an interim fix .. for those that are getting bothered by it.

 

The basic problem is the pixel shading on the bump map and how it alters direction ... I'll also look at a more comprehensive fix for the next release.

 

This is the problem with introduiciong new tech into Custom taxiways ... always has teething problems!!
