Alexander Cohrs Posted April 9, 2009 at 03:31 PM Posted April 9, 2009 at 03:31 PM Hi Wills, I never did this myself, and also I am not at home right now to have a look on it, but as far as I remember you must not only edit the file, but also load it once again into Euroscope afterwards - like you would also do with the atistext and so on. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted April 9, 2009 at 05:08 PM Posted April 9, 2009 at 05:08 PM You are sure the edited file is the one ES uses? I have edited the file many times, and it is working, but the file is loaded on ES start-up only or manually via the menu (SCT->Load Airlines file). Hi Todor, Yes it is the right file (double checked in my Profile Startup) and loaded at startup. This files contains information about ICAO CALLSING, Airliner Name, Country and Radio Call, for instance: ICAO CALLSING: BAW Airliner Name: British Airways Country: United Kingdom Radio Callsign: SPEEDBIRD Where, Euroscope, the information about airliners appears to you? Wills Damasio 810202 Posted April 9, 2009 at 06:27 PM Author Posted April 9, 2009 at 06:27 PM Hi Folks, After some time I was able to find where to find the information about ICAO Airliners.txt. To know the Radio Callsign you must select the aircraft and look at the bottom line. The radio callsign appears between parenthesis such as: VAT1167 (VATBRASIL) where: Callsign: VAT1167 Radio Call: VATBRASIL N.B.: VATBRASIL is Brazilian VA not included in the standard ICAO Airlines.txt. Here is a screenshot where to find the ICAO Airlines.txt information: ISSUE SOLVED!! Thanks to all and I hope it can be used by others. Regards. Todor Atanasov 878664 Posted April 9, 2009 at 06:38 PM Posted April 9, 2009 at 06:38 PM I didn't understand you couldn't find where it was shown Yes the info about the airline name is in the status bar. The ICAO_Aircraft data is shown on the Electronic Flight Strip, on the bottom. Also the ICAO_Airport are used for displaying the Airport Name, next to the aircraft Information. I saw it but I didn't realise it was it!!! rsrsrs All other settings files are ok... I am reviewing all them.. there are a lot of info, at least in Brazil, that are not updated or are too long to be shown in a small screen (flight strip last line). As soon as these files are reviewes I will make them available at Euroscope Elite Squad site (http://www.euroscope-tropadeelite.com.br). Alexander Cohrs Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:09 PM Posted April 9, 2009 at 07:09 PM Ah, now I also understand. Thought you made some updates on the file and still received the old informations. Nethertheless, great that it now works for you. Alex
Jonas Eberle Posted April 16, 2009 at 11:54 AM Posted April 16, 2009 at 11:54 AM I would like to note that vat.tk is maintaining an ICAO_Airlines.txt It can be found here: http://vattk.tr-media.org/index.php?mode=vatdb They are happy to add/correct airlines/callsigns, also for VATSIM VAs.
