Ryan Whitford 995253 Posted April 16, 2009 at 11:13 PM Posted April 16, 2009 at 11:13 PM Hey I just got my New HD. So my thing is Q: Can I just pop this in and Install FS9 on it right away or Must I have to format the Disk to NTFS. Its a OEM Drive too. I will have my old 250 Gig for backup and the OS on it, and the other for Strictly FS9. Q: What software must I use if I have to? Thanks http://www.allegiantva.org Join if you have skill! Garry Morris 920567 Posted April 17, 2009 at 01:41 AM Posted April 17, 2009 at 01:41 AM Ryan, computer off, plug the new drive in, start the computer. XP should detect the new drive on startup (if it's SATA, haven't had an IDE drive in years, can't remember) and prompt you to format it for NTFS. After that, install FS and away you go. http://www.execjetva.com
