Alec Lindsey 909050 Posted April 21, 2009 at 04:16 AM Posted April 21, 2009 at 04:16 AM Hello, I've been having issues activating the VNAV in the E190 from Wilco/FT. I input everything in the FMC correctly (although there appears to be no spot to put in cruise altitude), and everytime I try to engage VNAV, it never works. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something I'm missing? Does it work for other people? Also, the Auto-Throttle can be extremely erratic I've found when climbing out. Anyone else had this problem? Mark Richards Posted April 21, 2009 at 09:52 PM Posted April 21, 2009 at 09:52 PM Alec I have several hundred hours logged in the Wilco E-Jet. The main reason that you're probably not getting VNAV to engage is that when you enter the flight plan, you MUST enter the destination airport as the very last point of the plan and enter the cruise alt. You should also find that once you do that, you will get an option on the PERF page to enter cruise altitude. Without Cruise Altitude, VNAV won't work as it has no vertical profile to navigate to (hence the term V-Nav). Feel free to ask any more questions you have as overall, the model is modelled quite well. Alec Lindsey 909050 Posted April 21, 2009 at 10:37 PM Author Posted April 21, 2009 at 10:37 PM Well that's a problem too. I can't enter anything before I enter the destination. The only thing I can set altitude-wise is the speed/alt at each waypoint I enter. A "Cruise Altitude" entry is not immediately apparent on one of the perf pages. Oh, and if it helps any, when I start up the aircraft I don't immediately get the POS INIT page, I get the radio page and have to navigate manually to set my position. Are you supposed to enter Cruise Alt into the "AT ALTITUDE" part on PERF page 3?
Mark Richards Posted April 22, 2009 at 12:32 PM Posted April 22, 2009 at 12:32 PM I dont have the sim on at the moment. I will try to fire it up tomorrow night and run through the steps you need.
