Hello!

I know that Euroscope currently only shows airport name when the airport is listed in the ICAO_Airports.txt file. Would someone please tell me which site maintains the file, so that I can submit additions?

Karl,

There is no official page that maintains the Airports.txt file. If you update it, I will put it to the next installer.

OK!

I was able to deduce that the file had the following format:

USA - <2-digit state code>

I have added all of the ICAO-coded airports in the Indianapolis ARTCC that have an approach control, using my ZID Quick Sheets as a guide. You can find the updated file at http://drop.io/euroscopeZIDairports. I included the modified ICAO_Airports.txt file, and also a unified diff file that clearly shows my changes. The URL will stop working in 1 year!

Hello again!

I've recently gone through and created a list of all of the public airports in center-owned airspace. Some of the ICAO airports in center-owned airspace were missing from the file, so I've added them.

All of the files are still at http://drop.io/euroscopeZIDairports. Here's what you can find now:

  • ICAO_Airports_v2.txt: The updated ICAO_Airports.txt file
  • ICAO_Airports_v2.patch: A unified diff showing the changes from the ICAO_Airports.txt file included with EuroScope 3.0a, to my updated file.
  • ICAO_Airports_v1_v2.patch: A unified diff showing the changes from my 2009-05-09 ICAO_Airports.txt file, to my updated file.
  • ICAO_Airports_v1.txt: My 2009-05-09 ICAO_Airports.txt file.
  • ICAO_Airports_v1.patch: A unified diff showing the changes from the ICAO_Airports.txt file included with EuroScope 3.0a, to my updated file.
