Omar Dela Cruz 1106879 Posted May 7, 2009 at 03:18 PM Posted May 7, 2009 at 03:18 PM Hi, I'm really interested in VATSIM, now here's my problem: I have FSX and Windows Vista Business. So I downloaded the FSInn and FSCopilot that are recommended for FSX with Vista. When I run the FSCopilot installer, the "allow software" warning appears, I approve it, then nothing happens. When I check my task manager, FSCopilot installer is there and is running, but even though if I wait for a long time, nothing happens and it does not install or anything. Thank you for the help. Looking forward to flying in VATSIM.

Skipping any might cause the program not to work properly. -- L. James -- L. D. Omar Dela Cruz 1106879 Posted May 8, 2009 at 07:07 AM Author Posted May 8, 2009 at 07:07 AM Hi, I just fixed the problem up. Just had to clean up the registry and it went well. But once I installed the program, how could I start using it? I can see it in the Start Menu, but when I open FSX, the "add-ons" toolbar doesn't appear. How do I start opening it inside FSX? Thanks. Omar Dela Cruz 1106879 Posted May 13, 2009 at 05:52 AM Author Posted May 13, 2009 at 05:52 AM Sorry but I really did follow the instructions, I already tried it about 10 times with FSInn and Copilot. I really don't see it inside FSX. Do I need to have the Service Packs 1 and 2 installed? Cause I don't have them at present. Thank you very much for the help. Frankly, I am quite desperate to fly online with VATSIM! Thanks!

Frankly, I am quite desperate to fly online with VATSIM! Thanks! Hi, Omar. Following the installation steps, you’ll find the service packs are part of the installation. 10 times isn’t necessary. Performing the steps once is important, then using the format of the “Please read sticky” (if the FSInn Help forum) bold item #3 for a follow up should be done. I should have mentioned this in my first message to save time. If you can’t see the FSInn menu in the addons menu you might be having a connection issue and should follow the steps presented in the two messages relating to connection. Will you send me an image of the properties of your fsx.exe file from the compatibilities tab? http://www.apollo3.com/~ljames/upload . -- L. James -- L. D. Omar Dela Cruz 1106879 Posted June 1, 2009 at 04:22 AM Author Posted June 1, 2009 at 04:22 AM Hi, I used to have problems with FSX SP2 that's why I can't install FSInn. I just fixed it with FSX Acceleration so now I have FSInn in my FSX. I have flown some flights already in VATSIM and I really liked it! Although I still get problems with FSX sometimes,(it crashes sometimes and I'm still troubleshooting it), I think I can bear with it for the moment to be able to fly in VATSIM. Thanks for the help Larry! Lastly, Isn't there any way for me to connect to VATSIM without the SP2? Because even though I can now fly in VATSIM with my SP2, it may sound funny but I still get the best performance of FSX without SP2. (I dont have a very fancy computer). Thank you very much again!
