Paul Byrne Posted May 9, 2009 at 03:30 AM Posted May 9, 2009 at 03:30 AM Hi Guys, I recently had to stop using AVG7 due to them no longer supporting virus definition updates etc. and was wondering what you guys would recommend in a free antivirus and (while I'm at it) firewall. I'm using Win XP Pro. I'd prefer something that doesn't take up too many system resources and is also generally known not to affect SB4/FSInn/FS etc. Cheers! Steven Cullen Posted May 9, 2009 at 04:51 AM Posted May 9, 2009 at 04:51 AM I have used avast anti-virus without issues in the past. Currently have it on my laptop and it does not stop VRC from working. regards, Steven
Tomas Bakke 963642 Posted June 22, 2009 at 09:09 AM Posted June 22, 2009 at 09:09 AM I would recommend NOD32 antivirus. Very low memory usage. You hardly notice it's presence on your computer. It automatically updates itself and keeps your system resources available for other apps (like flightsim). NOD32 is the gamers choice

Luke Kolin Posted June 22, 2009 at 05:14 PM Posted June 22, 2009 at 05:14 PM The XP firewall works just fine. Cheers! Luke ... I spawn hundreds of children a day.
