Barry Woodward Posted December 7, 2004 at 05:50 AM Posted December 7, 2004 at 05:50 AM All of a sudden I get a "fatal error" when logging onto SB and the automatic logging onto AVC. The error message says that Port3290 may be in use and that the voice library can't be opened. I've done nothing to my PC since last using AVC on 12/5. Any ideas? I've specified UDP for port 3290 in my firewall exception list. thanks
Ralf Ittmann 858472 Posted December 7, 2004 at 06:27 AM Posted December 7, 2004 at 06:27 AM did you run ASRC at the same time?
Martin Georg 811874 Posted December 7, 2004 at 08:45 AM Posted December 7, 2004 at 08:45 AM Ralf is probably right, is message appears when Port 3290 is in use by another application (which normally is either AVC or ASRC 1.1). This may come from AVC not being closed correctly or (as Rlaf said) ASRC or another instance of AVC) running in the background. best regards, Martin Georg
Christopher Serio 823884 Posted December 7, 2004 at 03:07 PM Posted December 7, 2004 at 03:07 PM Yeap. If ASRC is not running in the background then it is likely a copy of the AVC that didn't shut down right. You can simply reboot your computer or open up your task manager and kill the AVC process that may be running. It will be called "AVC" in the process lists. Mark Ross 846869 Posted December 26, 2004 at 03:18 AM Posted December 26, 2004 at 03:18 AM I had a similar problem with this same message when I upgraded my system to an XP. Once I cleared off all the old Roger Wilco files and paid for FUSIPC.dll instead of using the free version everything worked alright.
