Robert Kover 1037907 Posted May 11, 2009 at 02:06 PM Posted May 11, 2009 at 02:06 PM Hello all: My equipment: I have FS9, downloaded a POSKY ERJ-145 from the fleet page of my virtual airlines. I have added the GNSXLS Style FMS from Integrated Simavionics http://www.isgsim.com/ Last night while doing a flight I tried to climb to my cruise altitude. I was at 2000' and had my altitude set at 22000' and the Vertical Speed Indicator set at 2000 or even at times I tried 1000. But the plane would not climb greater than 680 FPM. On the descent I set the cross at VOR XXX and it would not allow me to descend more than 680 FPM; even though I had the VSI set at 2000. Very frustrating. What am I doing wrong ? Is there a setting in the FMS that I am missing ? Or a setting in FS9 that I am missing? Thank you; Bob Kover
Ross Carlson Posted May 11, 2009 at 02:34 PM Posted May 11, 2009 at 02:34 PM I don't know about ERJs, but most autopilot MCPs have a V/S mode that needs to be engaged for the commanded vertical speed to take effect. You didn't mention that in your post, so I thought I'd check to see if that's the issue here.
