Dinesh Kozhikode 1107449 Posted May 13, 2009 at 10:46 AM Posted May 13, 2009 at 10:46 AM Hi, BACKROUND: I am looking at a Home cockpit built using eight PCs and nine monitors. The configuration is as follows : Seven 19 inch monitors (each connected to a PC = 7 PCs) called client, form a 180 degree 'outside view' almost the size of A320 cockpit. The eighth PC called server has two monitors connected to it forming the instrument / main panel. The server connects to the internet. The " WideView software" is used to split the outside view between the seven monitors (WV clients). I use FS9. PROBLEM: The problem is that when I connect the server to VATSIM, the VATSIM traffic and VATSIM weather does not show up on the outside views across the seven monitors although it is showing on the main panel (server computer). SOLUTION?? : Can someone help me connect this Home Cockpit to VATSIM so that I get VATSIM traffic and VATSIM weather synchronised over the seven outside view monitors. I am anable to get information in this regard from the existing threads in the forum. I am sure of help from many of us who would be using Home cockpit of similar configuration. Norman Blackburn Posted May 13, 2009 at 01:48 PM Posted May 13, 2009 at 01:48 PM WideView from memory has one master PC with the rest as slaves. If I am correct these slaves operate in a slew mode? Norman

I.E press alt-enter then expand the view, then you should be able to undock to a different monitor.

Too add on to what Tom has said; once you've moved the panel to the desired monitor, you can hit Alt + Enter again to go back to full-screen and the panels should stay on the other monitor. Dinesh; I think you may need another piece of software that will send the traffic information to the other computers as well. If WideView works by using slew only, the server won't be sending traffic info to the other computers, so you will need software to do that. Unfortunately, I don't know of any such software..
